Description

This Wordpress Plugin allows you to quickly move users from one Wordpress site to another. Its Wordpress Multisite ready so the plugin even works on entire networks.

Export Users To export the users you have multiple options. You can export all users or choose to include or exclude specific users based on user IDs.
Import Users Once you exported the users on the first site you now can just paste the export code which will import the users into the new site. If your running a Multisite network you will have the option to add the users to a specific subsite, add them all to the main site or both to a subsite and to the main site.

Wordpress Installation

Installation in wordpress is very simple. As this file is a plugin you can simply upload it in your wordpress admin panel under Plugins. Please follow these steps.

Login to your wordpress admin panel

Open the Plugins page and select >Add New

Under Install Plugins Select Upload

Select the file wp_upload_users.zip and upload it.

Follow the instructions on your screen and click Activate Plugin

Your plugin is now installed and activated

First things first

As soon as the plugin is installed & activated you can start using it. Nothing more to say here it's that simple!

Export Users

If you want to export users just follow these steps.

go to the WP Move Users "export users" page using the menu on the left of your wordpress admin panel.

On the export page you get a few options.

Export users by ID

This allows you to only export specific users based on there user IDs. Make sure you separate the IDs by comma. (ex.: ID1, ID2, ID3)

You can choose to Include or Exclude the user IDs to be exported.

If Multisite: Load all users from network?

If your running the plugin on a Multisite you will get this option. It allows you to export All users from the entire network. Or just export the users linked to the current site/subsite.

Now just hit the Export Users button and your Export Code will be created. Now it's just a matter of copying the Export Code and pasting it into the Import Users field on the other website.

Import Users

If you want to import users just follow these steps.

go to the WP Move Users "import users" page using the menu on the left of your wordpress admin panel.

On the export page you get a few options.

How to import users?

Here you can choose a way how to import the users. There are 2 options here:

ADD: this will start importing the users from the last current User ID. So the imported users will get a new user ID.

NEW: This will import the users with there original user ID. This option is only recommended on New Wordpress installations! If a user with the same ID already exists in the database the imported user will not be added!

If Multisite: Add users to current site/subsite only?

If your running the plugin on a Multisite you will get this option. It allows you to choose if you want to add the users to the current site/subsite only OR if you want to copy them to the Main site aswell.

Now just paste your Export Code into the Import Code textfield and click the "Import Users" button. All users will be imported into the website and people will be able to login and use the site just like they where used to on the old one!
